Our Ouray Trip

On the 8th we headed out for Ouray, Colorado. Sean and our brother-in-law have been planning this short little diddy for about a year now. We stayed at the KOA in our trailer and my bro.-in-law and sis.-in-law were smart and rented a cabin a few blocks down the road. Friday night Jack came down with a cold and we both probably got about 2 hours of sleep, poor little munchkin. Poor me too! It rained all night both nights. Sat. we got up bright and early and headed out to the mountains to do some off road trails (the reason for the whole trip). We did Black Bear Pass, which was so totally amazing, we drove over the mountain and dropped down into Telluride, I was so glad for the rain all night because I'm sure it made the waterfalls as amazing as they were, there were probably about 8 falls we drove by or through. Then we did Imogene Pass, it wasn't my favorite sights, but we were driving through the clouds which was super cool. Sean had a blast, he was totally in his element. Just get him on a really bumpy and steep dirt road and he's a happy camper! My camera battery died 1/2 way through the first trail, bummer.

Jack's birthday was on Sunday, so he sat in his car seat for 6 hours driving home... sick. Poor boy. We still haven't made him a cake and taken 1 yr pictures, we will as soon as he doesn't have snot running down his face.

This is the tiny town of Ouray, CO.

Connor and his cousin checking out the town from above.

There were a ton of bikers, I guess it's a big place to train for the tour de France.

The clouds over the point of the mountain.

Connor was really excited about this off roading trip! I don't know how they sleep on those bumpy roads.

Black Bear Pass

The wild flowers were so beautiful, I took way too many pictures of them.

Me and my schweetie.

Our cute little neice, I know it's only her back, but I liked this picture.

I made Sean stop so I could jump out and throw snow balls.

Victory Dance. My legs really didn't disappear, they just blend in with the snow.

Sean's sister and her family and our little family, Jack was interested in something else.

Sean's sister and two of hers, so cute!
We had a great time in Colorado! I'm so glad that we were able to go.

Step 1: Clean and Shine Your Sink... Check!

I've been feeling out of sorts for the last... um, while. I think it's because of the simple fact that my house is out of sorts, cluttered and completely unorganized. I used to be a real clean freak, probably almost to the point where I could have used some meds : ). In high school it would drive me crazy when friends would come in my room, pick something up, look at it and not put it back in the exact spot where it went and on the correct angle that it was facing (lol, sad an a little weird for a teenager I think). See I told you I probably should have been on medication for it. You've seen how my clothes are color coordinated in my closet, that started in Jr. High. Over the last few years with me being so sick and having a new baby... well, I don't really know what happened to me but I'll use that as my excuse. I thought it was okay until it's gotten to the point where I can't find things, my brain feels scattered and unorganized because my home is. My friends, things are about to change. Today I joined the FLYlady group. I will be expecting several emails everyday and I'm going to get my shtuff togetha! I'm excited about this, I'd forgotten about the FLYlady until my friend Katie said something about it. I signed up for it several years ago, but I only had one "hot spot" and got my sink shiny and I was pretty much done, so I unsubscribed from the group. I did step 1 today and it feels really good. I even did my bathroom sinks while I was at it and since I was standing by the toilets when I cleaned the the sinks, I put a little bleach in them as well and cleaned those nasty things up (toilets are so not my fave!). Here is my sink, shiny right?
I actually feel like I've started somewhere and I feel really great that I did something today rather than look and my mess and wonder where to start. She tells you what to do on what day. You set a timer and don't do any task for more than 15 min. at a time. You start out small and work your way up. Anyone want to do it with me? If you do go to FLYlady.net and sign up for the group, and let me know. I'm excited I'm going to feel so great when my house is clean. Hopefully I won't be a freak about it though : ). Thanks Katie for mentioning Flylady and laundry, I'm so excited. The picture of the sink is my hug to you (that was a flyladyism just in case you didn't recognize it. ROFLSHIP)

Pictures of the Event of the Summer

I stole some of these pictures from my friends blogs because they were great pictures and some of the pictures I took were all sorts of blurry.. Seems as though I forgot that you have to hold the button down half way to focus the shot before you push it all the way down. Oops, I got a few good ones, but I put some of the bad ones on here just so you can see the mania.

I stole this picture from Amy. We were excited for an awesome night ahead. I'm so glad that I have friends that are as goofy as me : ).

We met the rest of our group at the restaurant, so this is only part of us.

Our group at Olive garden. I think the people around us thought we were having too much fun, but is there such a thing on girls night? I don't think so.

So, I just wanted to take pictures of the people that dressed up for the occasion, they happily posed for me. Girl in pretty dress.

This is inside Barnes & Noble.. It was sheer craziness. You could pretty much turn around where you stood and that's about it. Helloooo crazy.

More diehards.. I love it.

I think this is a wolf and Rosalie???

We bailed the craziness and went to a bigger store... WalMart to wait in the line for a cheaper copy of the book. The line was great and we could move around. A few of us are MIA I think.

Nat even got some shopping in, picked up a few things she needed.

I saw some belts and wanted to dress up too!

At midnight they brought the books out! Woo hoo! I was excited.

On the way home, Natelli read to us, she added a few things in that really weren't part of the book. I was laughing so hard I couldn't stop. I hadn't had a laughing attack in a while, it was fun! Thanks girls for a really fun night! We'll have to make up a reason to do it again soon. XOXOXOXOXOX to you all.

Just Fabulous!

Tralalalalalala trallalalalala. I finished reading Breaking Dawn today! It was fabulous! I loved it! After I finished, I took a much needed shower, and bathed my baby (I had been ignoring him a bit the last few days) and then I took him on a walk. This was a really great weekend. I had so much fun. Friday night I went with some girlfriends from da hood (16 of 'em) out to eat at the Olive Garden. We had a great time and laughed our heads off, we were so excited to be out I think, with no kids and just the girls... I was a little giddy and spazy and it was so much fun. We went to Barnes and Noble after dinner to see the partay there. It was crazy. People were all dressed up. There was a guy in a wolf costume, girls in their dressy dresses... of course our group was sporting our "Team Edward" shirts we made with iron on transfers (they were really really cute, thanks Autumn, I still owe you money by the way.) It was a little too crazy there for us so we headed to WalMart to get our books there. The line wasn't too long, I think we were out of the store by 12:15 am and on our way home.. Of course I couldn't just go to sleep when I get home at.. what ever time it was when I got home. I had to stay up until 4 reading, then Jack wakes up at 6:30. That's okay, I got a lot of good reading in yesterday. I closed the book early last night though at midnight and woke up again at 6:30 and finished the book today.. I have a bit of a headache, I don't know why. I'll post some pictures later. I haven't downloaded them yet. I've been a bit busy. Don't worry Amy Lou, I got lots of pictures of the crazy people in costume for you. So here's too a great weekend! Thanks girls!
