My friend Amy Lou came up with the comparison of Edward Scissorhands and Jasper, then she posted this picture. I thought it was way to funny not to steal and post. What do you think? Did he do his character research on the wrong character?

Dinner and the Movie

The long awaited night came and went. It was a really long day. Normally my bed time is right around when the sun goes down, it's sad that is what my life has come to. I drank enough Dr. Pepper to get me through the night. Dr. Pepper is so my guilty pleasure, I LOVE it!

We ate at Olive Garden, then we shopped for my nieces baby shower gifts, went back to the house and watched some Survivor (cheated; fast forwarded to see who got voted off, and it was hilarious, I was laughing so hard.) Then headed over to the theater. We saw lots of different lines outside and it was pretty chili. When we got there, they were already seating for our showing ::Laaaaaaaa:: We had to split up so that was a bummer. We had an hour to chat, so my sis showed me how to text.. boy.. I don't know that I should attempt that again. I'm SSSLLLLOOOOWW. I heard a guy come back from the bathroom laughing that there were about 10 guys in the bathroom, they were just staring one was pretending to slit is wrist. I thought that was funny. I thought the movie was pretty good, some of the actors I liked better than the others. I was really impressed with the guy who played Edward and I wasn't so sure before I saw the movie. Over all though I thought that for a Indie film with the small budget it was pretty darn good. Of course if it had a huge budget it could have been much better. If they do more movies for the books maybe they will have larger budgets?? Who knows. I'll buy it when it comes out of course. It wasn't my favorite movie, but it was pretty entertaining. I was talking to my friend today and remembered that after I saw The Count of Monte Cristo, I thought it was my favorite movie I'd ever seen. I haven't seen it since. I probably should, and read the book also.

Update on my silly insurance test. Everything came back good so I'm in the low risk category. I have to do some strange activity (like read an article) and report about it every quarter. What is this world coming to?

Today is a good day, I get to see Twilight tonight!

Today I can't eat anything until 4. Ugh. I'm not a good faster. At least I can have water. For our insurance we have to get all these tests to see what risk category we are in. They test our cholesteral, body fat, body mass, etc. I can't decide if it's good or not. All of Sean's coworkers are ticked about the whole thing. Every year our insurance gets worse and worse. I'm glad that we at least have insurance, but it really does bite. Over the year we'll have to track our workouts and stuff I guess. Weird. I'm going to try to take advantage of it.

Tonight I'm going to go see the Twilight movie. I can't wait. I'm excited to go out with my fam. I get to go out and be kidless and husbandless. The husbandless part will be a little sad, but he's happy to stay home with the kids, although I'm sure he'll love the movie.

I've had a sick boy at home all week. I took him to the Dr. yesterday and he has a double ear infection. We got some antibiotics so he should be better very soon (fingers crossed). I was convinced that he'd go to school today, but this morning he said he felt "horrible". There's always hope for this afternoon or tomorrow right?

I'm getting so excited for Thanksgiving! YUM! I can't wait to eat. This year we are having Thanksgiving at my sisters cabin, it's almost done, they are pushing to get it done by Thurs. It's going to be so much fun to be up there, we love it! My brother and his family are coming from Colorado. It's going to be a good time. I used to really not like Thanksgiving, it was my least favorite holiday, a bunch of people getting together to gorge and I used to hate the colors. I'm weird I know. Now Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. I love to eat the nummy foods that I usually only eat at that time of year. My sister-in-law is the best cook ever and she made the yummiest Thanksgiving dinner a few years ago, so I got some of her recipes that 'make' Thanksgiving now. Cornbread & Sausage stuffing and Sweet Potato Casserole.. mmmm... I'm getting all excited thinking about it.. that, and hungary, Shoot! And now the Thanksgiving colors are amongst my favorites, brown and orange. Boooyah!

FUN STUFF!

I love watching the Biggest Loser, it's on tonight. I've only seen it once this season. It is such a motivating show. I think "if they can do it, I can do it." Not that I do it, but I could... Maybe one day I will. They just need to keep the show on long enough for me to get that motivated.

I cannot wait for Twilight. 2 days! I get to go to the movie with my sissa and my neicie poos. They are the ones that introduced me to the vampire world that I love so much. It will be so much fun, can't wait, can't wait!

I'm wondering if we should get our eyes done?

Sean and I went to pick up his new glasses and both of our contacts today. We really like the Dr. at Walmart so we go there to save some $$$. I'm thinking we should probably get our eyes done. We spent $900 today yeek, freak! I'm going to start doing some research on it. If you know of any good Dr's that are cheap, let me know.

Our poor Connor is still so sick. He hasn't been this sick in so long. I gave him some liquid immodium, mint flavor, nasty nasty! I remember taking it last year and it about made me puke, I felt bad. I guess it didn't even help. Pepto always makes him puke so thats out. Poor munchkin.

I can't believe I forgot, how horrible!

Today was my day to pick up 5 first graders from school. I forgot. Ahhh. Thank heavens for wonderful understanding friends. Connor was sick today, I had started posting about it cause it was funny, but a little too graphic so I didn't post it. To make it short he had "surprise farts" and puke on the living room floor and sofa. It was a fun day. I looked at the clock at 3 and realized that I was supposed to pick up kids from school and didn't tell anyone that Connor was sick. Eeeeek. I was mortified, my heart started pounding. I called my friend and asked her if her son made it home. He had called her from school and asked if she was going to go pick them up. She went right out and got them. I'm so thankful for understanding friends. Sorry Mandi, Kristin and Roni!

I Still Have a Headache!

Two nights ago I was picking up toys before bed. I guess I was a little to close the the handrail by the stairs, and I must have been trying to do the Elle Woods (from Legally Blond) flip and pop or something. I hit the very top of my head on that rail so hard. It hurts to lift my eyebrows. Sheesh, leave it to me.

I've been simply amazed lately watching my boys. They are growing up so fast, it seems like if I blink they grow. I love watching Jackson play with his toys, he knows how they work and he knows how to make them do what he wants them to do. We have one of the old Fisher Price Garages sitting next to his toys, he uses it as a chair to play with other things or look in his toy box, it's so funny. And Connor I'm amazed with, he is doing so well in school. We went to parent teacher conference a few weeks ago and his teacher said that he is a 'model student'. It makes me so happy, because I SO wasn't. He is reading so well and he's understanding his homework. He can sit down and do his homework by himself, he reads the instructions and does it. I'm totally amazed. I'm such a happy mom to have such a beautiful and wonderful family.

We found out the other day that a guy that Sean works with is taking a few weeks off work to spend them with his 9 year old son, for the last few days of his life. He was diagnosed with leukemia two and a half years ago, he was given 8 months back then, so they were blessed to have some extra time, but now isn't responding to therapy. I simply can't imagine losing one of my children. I sometimes wonder if I'd be able to go on? I'm sure I'd trudge through, but it would crush me. I am grateful for the gospel and I'm grateful that I'm sealed to my family for all of eternity. It's such a comfort to know that I'd be able to be with them again. Their family is in our thoughts and prayers.

On much happier note. It's my friend Mandy W's birthday today! So HAPPY BIRTHDAY MANDY! I hope you have a super happy day today and I think that you should celebrate all weekend long.
